Skin care routine

The first step to taking care of your skin is preventing damage. Sun, wind, pollutants and simply aging can degrade the condition of your skin. Common complaints include dry and itchy skin, wrinkles, sagging, color changes, and age spots. Fortunately there are steps that you can take to keep you skin looking and feeling its best. Here some of the symptoms of skin damage.

man skin care

Normal Skin: If you’ve never had problems with oily skin or dry skin, it’s likely that you have “normal” skin. The pores of normal skin are small and the overall skin tone is even. If you’ve never given a second thought to your skin before, your skin type is probably normal.

Oily Skin: As its name implies, oily skin is slightly to moderately greasy. If you have oily skin, your pores are medium to large in size and prone to blockage. You probably have problems with pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and acne cysts. Oily skin is usually thicker and firmer than
normal skin and it’s less sensitive to environmental damage.

Dry Skin: Dry skin characteristically feels tight and itchy. Winter is especially rough on this skin type. Dry skin is usually thinner than normal skin and may even be slightly rough to the touch. If you have dry skin, you may have noticed that your skin is also easily irritated.

How to take care of your skin daily, here are some few ideas where you can find a daily routine for skin care.

A skin care routine doesn’t have to be elaborate in order to be effective. But you should develop some kind of skin care routine based on your skin type, daily activities, and nutritional needs so that you can be sure you are taking the very best care of your skin. Following a daily skin care regime will also allow you to more closely evaluate your skin for abnormalities. Here’s a simple routine that you can adapt to fit your needs:

Cleanse: Wash your skin thoroughly on a daily basis to remove the dirt, debris, pollutants, and perspiration that have accumulated. If you have dry or sensitive skin, use only warm water to wash your skin and use a mild natural cleanser every few days. If you have normal or oily skin, be sure to wash with a gentle cleanser on a daily basis. Be sure to brush your teeth before washing your face, as toothpaste residue can irritate sensitive facial skin.

Moisturize: Unless your skin is very oily, you will want to use a moisturizer everyday to keep your skin hydrated and healthy. Your skin needs moisturizer all year long as both the indoor winter heat, and summer sun can be equally damaging to your skin.

Protect: Use a natural sunscreen when possible, regardless of whether or not you plan on spending much time in the sun. The sun’s rays are very damaging and if you get in the habit of applying sunscreen everyday, you will never be left without protection. The sun’s most beneficial rays occur at sunrise and sunset.

Will a beauty drink really give me glowing skin?

May 20, 2014

“Beauty drinks can provide a hydrating boost, but there aren’t enough vitamins and antioxidants in them to make a visible difference in your skin,” says Carrie Wiatt, R.D., of Diet Designs, whose celebrity clients include Jennifer Aniston, Fergie, and Salma Hayek. As an alternative, Wiatt recommends taking anti-inflammatory supplements such as omega-3’s, B Vitamins, and querecitin, which protect against acne flare-ups, encourage moisture absorption and retention, and improve blood circulation.

If liquid ingestion is your preferred practice for getting your daily dose of vitamins and antioxidants, dermatologist Ariel Ostad, M.D., suggests blending your own natural juices. “Juices are enriched with vitamins as well as antioxidants, which increase blood flow, reduce collagen breakdown, improve collagen deposition and production, and help with increasing the overall cell turnover rate of your skin,” says Ostad, who adds that “fresh juices—especially green leafy vegetables such as celery, cucumber, and lettuce with additions of lemon, ginger, or beets” are best for boosting your health and complexion.

Applying supplements topically via vitamin- and antioxidant-packed face creams and serums can also be effective. “The concentrated, focused application of antioxidants and other collagen builders on skin cells can yield dramatic beauty benefits,” says dermatologist Dennis Gross, M.D., founder of MD Skincare.

Weddings SkinFacial

Just as you will prepare for your wedding invitations, the wedding gown, flowers, photography, and other aspects of the wedding, you will also need to plan for your skin so that on your special day, you look radiant. The great news is that you can begin a good facial regimen so that your skin is at its best.

If you have minor to moderate skin problems, typically a good home routine will work perfectly. In most cases, you can visit your local store or beauty supply store where you can purchase products such as cleanser, a gentle facial scrub, toner, and moisturizer for your type of skin. If you have problem skin, you can meet with a licensed Dermatologist or Esthetician that can help you prepare for your wedding.

The most important thing to remember is to use quality products and start with gentle products. Many times, you will find stores selling package products, which might not be the best. For instance, the cleanser and toner may be okay but the moisturizer might be wrong or vice versa.

To get started, you want to get on a program about six months prior to the wedding. The reason is that sometimes when a new facial routine is started, the skin can actually experience breakouts, as dirt and grime make their way to the surface. This way, your skin can be cleaned and then settle down, resulting in beautiful and smooth skin.

wedding skin facial
If you want to set up your own program at home, the following tips will be beneficial:

In a blender, mix dry oatmeal until it turns into a fine powder. Then mix in enough honey to create a medium-thick paste. Take this mixture and massage it into your face, leaving it on for about 15 to 20 minutes. When done, rinse your face with warm water. Finally, complete the routine with toner and a good moisturizer.

If you want to avoid the expensive toners sold at stores, you can simply use Witch Hazel, sold at most retail or drug stores.

If you have dry skin, you can use aloe vera gel to create a mask. Once you have applied it to your face, leave it on for about 15 minutes. Then with a soft cotton cloth, wipe the majority of it off and simply massage the remaining gel into your skin.

Once you only have two to three weeks left before your wedding day, you want to avoid tanning in the sun or a tanning bed. This will only dry your skin, undoing all the work you have completed. Instead, you can get a tan spray, giving your skin a nice, natural glow without the drying effect. Additionally, make sure you avoid harsh skin treatments as well as facial waxing. Remember, with proper care, you will look like a princess on the biggest day of your life.

Did L'Oreal Make Beyonce "Whiten" Up?

Questions and questions come when the name beyonce is called , in the case of weight loss or complex of her skin.

Beyoncé is an African-American Rhythms and Blues singer, record producer, songwriter, model and actress. She born and brought up in Houston, Texas. Beyonce was first exposed to dancing and singing as a child after enrolling into many schools of performing arts. Beyonce became popular as the lead singer of Destiny's child in the 1990s.

Controversy has broken out over a new ad for L'Oreal hair lightening products featuring Beyoncé. It has been widely observed that the African-American singer's skin tone is far lighter, almost white, in the advertisement.

The allegations were originally made by TMZ who described the advertisement as a "slap to blacks". The New York Post also weighed in on the issue, accusing the cosmetics giant of turning Beyoncé into a "weird, nearly white version of herself."

Tips for Summer Skin Care

May 20, 2014

Hot Sun, Dry Earth , Blow of dust, Hot air. When we talk about these types of things then we can analyzes that it's summer time . Always willing to be under cold water, Drinking chilled beer, Staying inside with AC on. This is the summer you live up , Worrying about the skin, so loosing the chance to enjoy the summer don't get confused here are some tips for those who love summer and not to be worry of horror dreams of skin.

Drink lots of water through the day, not only to replenish moisture lost to the heat and sweat but also to help flush toxins out of the body and keep skin looking clear and lustrous. Herb or spice teas, made with skin-enhancing ingredients, offer added therapeutic benefit. To balance Pitta, choose cooling herbs and spices such as mint, cardamom and fennel. Stay away from iced beverages because they hinder digestion and can create toxins leading to skin breakouts.

Eat Pitta-balancing fruits, vegetables and herbs, which supply the skin with essential nutrients and come with free-radical fighting antioxidant properties while they help keep your skin cool. Carrots, lettuce, summer squash such as zucchini, celery, asparagus and leafy greens are good vegetable choices. Sweet juicy fruits such as pears, grapes, watermelon and mangoes both nourish and cleanse. Fresh ginger, cilantro, mint and basil add flavor and aromas to dishes without aggravating Pitta dosha.

The sweet, bitter and astringent tastes balance Pitta while the sour, pungent and salty tastes aggravate it. Go easy on spicy or sour foods, especially if you plan to go out and enjoy the sun for the day, to keep your skin from breaking out or getting inflamed.

Milk is a cooling, Pitta-pacifying beverage that also supplies nutrients to your skin and helps to keep it from drying out. Drink a cup of milk every day, and also combine milk with ingredients like almond meal and rose water to make a Pitta-balancing skin cleanser

Get plenty of quality rest each night. Keep your bedroom cool, dark and comfortable and sleep on cotton or linen sheets. Get to bed early and awaken early for clear healthy skin and sparkling eyes.

Pitta dosha governs the heart and emotions. When you feel stressed, angry or frustrated, your skin will show it over time as furrows and small lines and breakouts. Practice calming yoga poses or meditation to stay serene and help your body and mind manage stress. Diffuse Pitta-balancing essential oils, such as rose, sandalwood and lavender to keep mind and heart balanced. Walk on the beach or through a cool shady garden.

The sun can increase sebum production, causing your skin to look oily on occasion. When the oil combines with dirt and sweat, pores get clogged. Be meticulous about your cleansing routine, morning and night. Use a non-soap based gentle cleanser that will deep cleanse without drying out the skin. A good cleansing mix for dry/normal skin can be made with almond meal, oatmeal, milk and rosewater. For oily skin, try chickpea flour (found in Indian grocery stores) or oatmeal with yogurt and a little lemon and neem powder. If you use a toner, look for one without alcohol.

Keep your skin nourished with an herbal moisturizer. Look for ayurvedic formulations that contain skin-friendly herbs such as sandalwood, turmeric, brahmi, amla and aloe vera. At least once a week, treat yourself to a fruit or vegetable mask appropriate for your skin type. Cucumbers, avocados, apricots and papayas lend themselves well to homemade masks. Puree the fruit or vegetable and blend with some yogurt, honey, oatmeal and lemon juice (for oily skin) or rosewater (for dry skin) and apply evenly to the face. Let stay for 15-20 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Do not go out during the hottest parts of the day, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If you exercise outdoors, do it early in the morning. Wear sunscreen, lip protection, sunglasses and a broad-brimmed hat when you go out-exposure to the sun can age skin very rapidly. A thin mixture of red sandalwood powder and rosewater applied to your skin 2-3 times a week can help it become more resilient. Take an aromatherapy floral water or hydrosol along for the day to stay refreshed.

Eyes and feet could do with extra TLC. Each evening, splash lots of cool water on your eyes. When you can, soak some cotton pads in cool water or rose water and place them over closed eyes for 10 minutes. Keep your feet clean and cool. Wear sandals when you can to let feet breathe and stay odor-free.
